Grifols Engineering to build a new storage facility for CRTS

 

Grifols Engineering, a company belonging to Grifols holding company which works in the hospital-pharmaceutical sector, will build a new automated storage warehouse for the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Seville. This tender was awarded to Movaco, the holding's commercial arm.

Part of the Andalusia Health Service, CRTS promotes blood donations, obtains, processes and distributes blood components. They also have a tissue bank which collects, stores and distributes donated tissues.

The storage facility will include a -40ºC cold storage chamber to store plasma bags during their quarantine period. This facility is managed through an automated system. There will also be a special space with a storage management system for erythrocytes or blood cells in the storage facility. Grifols Engineering has the experience and know-how in storage systems and management in accordance with GMP allowing them to apply the most suitable technology for each case or project need.
